The whole article is about balance and how tension is what causes us to lose our balance. Gravity doesn’t pull us sideways or at an angle – always straight down. Tension in our bodies always resists gravity and the result is less contact with the ground, lateral forces that in turn require MORE tension to counter, and more energy spent to keep ourselves upright.
